Corporación Aceros Arequipa (CAASA), through its investment share (CORAREI1), has once again been incorporated into the S&P/BVL Peru General ESG Index of the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) for the period May 2023-2024. With this result, it remains one of the 14 companies that stand out in sustainable practices in the local stock market.
This index is the only one of its kind in Peru and measures the performance of Peruvian companies in terms of sustainability, with the aim of representing the group of most sustainable companies in the Peruvian stock market. This means that it provides an investment option for those looking to promote sustainable and responsible practices in their financial decisions.
This recognition reinforces CAASA's position as a leading company in sustainability, which also occupies the top 5% of the sustainability ranking of the global steel industry —being a leader in Latin America— according to the S&P Global ESG Score in the Sustainability Yearbook (2023).
